Based on the 3 generations old Mercedes CLK chassis and engines the, Crossfire is a car you would have to be certifiable to buy new as you could buy an Alfa Gt or a 3 series for the same money. Second hand though, it makes some sense.
Tidy handling, a roomy cabin and singular styling make the Crossfire a credible, if left field choice. Prices are very soft indeed.
3.2 V6 engine is the only choice. As with the Mercedes on which its based go for the automatic box. The manual is awful.
Trim level is not really relevant with the Crossfire. Just make sure the car has been well looked after. SRT-6 has a supercharged Mercedes engine and is a specialist only vehicle.
Pay £12,500 for a 2 year old 3.2 V6 Crossfire. That is less than half the new value so something of a bargain.
The best time to buy is at 5 years old when the first MOT is due. It will continue to lose a lot of value though - so buy for keeps or get out quick.
