Used Fiat Bravo 2007 – Buyer’s Guide

Why buy a Used Fiat Bravo?

The Bravo is Fiat's answer to the Focus. It is a typically lovely looking piece of design both in and out. People generally think of Fiat as a maker of city cars so the bigger the second hand Fiat, the quicker they lose value.

Drive a Bravo back to back with the competition and you will be amazed at how good they are. Very underrated with fluid handling, space for a family, and a general feeling of sophistication the Bravo is a wise choice secondhand.

Which is the best used Fiat Bravo?

The Bravo features Fiat's astonishing 1.4 petrol turbo and, secondhand, this is still cheaper than the diesels. Don't hesitate. A two year old car with the high power 150BHP version of this engine can be had for the same price as a 1.6 diesel!

All Bravos benefit from Fiat's generous attitude to specification. We would suggest a T-Jet petrol in Dynamic Trim or a 1.6 Multijet diesel in the same trim. Sport models look cool but the big wheels do the ride no favours and the insurance can increase.

What should I aim to pay for an Fiat Bravo?

A nearly new 1.4 T-Jet Dynamic can be had for £11200. That represents a saving of £4000 off the nearly new price.

Buy at anytime but new. Hold on to the car for as long as you can as depreciation is heavy.

Fiat Bravo Prices & Depreciation – Graph - Fuel differences

Used Car Expert recommends that you try to buy after a big drop in depreciation and before the next one, so with the current Fiat Bravo you would aim to buy a 3 year old and you can keep it for some time before needing to worry about a big drop in value.

Petrol Fiat Bravo cars lose most over the first year (from new to 1 year old), so that is the best ‘nearly new’ buy in terms of car for money.

Diesel Fiat Bravo cars lose least between years 1 and 3, so this is the best buy if you want to keep the car for a while.

Petrol Fiat Bravo cars lose least between years 2 and 4, so that is the best buy on older cars.
