The Fiat Croma is a totally misunderstood semi-MPV from Fiat that had such little impact on the UK market it was withdrawn from sale here after a year. It's far from a bad car though - which makes it a bargain.
The Croma is tough and very comfortable though the styling is a little odd. There's loads of room for 5 and refinement is a strong point. It's a car that makes a great deal of sense as it's so very, very cheap.
A petrol car will be monumentally inexpensive, very safe, and a general all round good buy. Just don't expect anything for it when you come to sell on.
Pay £1500 more for a diesel if you like but the petrol is more than ample. A diesel Croma is ideal if you do a lot of driving in Europe and need a cheap car for the purpose.
Pay £4,500 to £5,000 for a 5 year old petrol car with less than 25,000 miles on the clock. A stone cold bargain.
Depreciation is now quite steady on these cars.
