If Noddy had a couple of kids and a house in Cardiff, this would be his car. Looks like a toy but is actually a pretty serious and well thought out sister car to the Citroen Nemo. Costs similar money to a Panda but tougher and more practical.
The Qubo is all about practicality but since it's based on the chassis of the Punto it drives well and is oddly refined. We rather like it.
Go diesel. These cars are very, very cheap and you may as well get the best engine. The 1.3 Multijet is brilliant in this application.
As is usual with cars at this price. Spec and trims don't really matter. Make sure that the car has air-con. Beyond that it doesn't matter.
Pay less than £9000 for a 3 year old 1.4 Multijet in Dynamic trim.
But at 3 years when the first MOT is due. Initial depreciation is quite high and best avoided.
