A car without many direct competitors, the Sedici makes more sense in the more extreme climate of continental Europe. It is good though and its rarity, Fiat badge, and perceived lack of market suitability make a one of the stand out used car bargains.
The Sedici is a fully realised product. It does nothing badly and most things very well indeed. Notably well built, roomy, tough and surprisingly nimble to drive it comes highly recommended.
You can get the Sedici with Fiats tried and tested 1.9 diesel unit and that engine really suits the Sedici's no-nonsense approach. The 1.6 petrol is much cheaper however and early pre' 09 cars are petrol only.
A year old Sedici is £1000 cheaper and one insurance group less than the comparative diesel. Servicing will also be cheaper. Even though the 1.9 diesel offers 10MPG more the much lower purchase price of the petrol gives it the nod overall.
A nearly new 1.6 petrol Sedici in Dynamic trim will cost £8900. Add another £1000 if you want that car with the 1.9 diesel.
The Sedic is so cheap new, or nearly new that it loses almost nothing thereafter. Buy and sell any time.
