The Evora is essentially an Elise with two (very small and, oddly, optional) extra seats. The sublime ride and handling remain unscathed, as does the powerful turn of speed.
The Evora competes on price with some fairly exotic machinery, such as Porsches and the top-spec BMW Z4s. It out drives both but the build (especially the gearbox) is nowhere near as good.
There are fewer spec and trim choices on the Elise but the Evora can still be heavily personalised. 3.5 Toyota V6 is very tough.
Make sure any Evora you consider has a FULL specialist history and buy from a main dealer someone who knows the cars.
Evora's hold initial value well. It's only losing £3,000 - £5,000 per year. Pay £47,000 for a year old model with around 7,000 miles on the clock.
It's too early to say how steady depreciation will be ? Lotuses either go one way or the other. Very heavy or non-existent.
