The second generation Mercedes ML is a giant leap in quality and ability over the first. The car is stylish, well built and very able on the road.
The ML feels like a proper Mercedes to drive - that's pretty high praise. It has the usual Merc positives of a lovely ride, strong interior and ease of use. It gives the Range Rover Sport a run for its money.
There are a few petrol cars in the market but with the ML diesel power is really the way to go. The excellent 3.0 unit is worth the £2000 more it commands.
See if you can find an SE spec car as, though quite rare, these cars make do without the big alloys that ruin the ride on the popular Sport Models. The ride is one the ML's big strengths. Seems silly to waste it.
