The V Class is a huge, tough MPV from Mercedes that, though very dated now, offers good value and can carry the most amazing amount of stuff. Looks massively shady for some reason.
The V-Class is basically a van with seats. Which means that, whilst it can carry a van-like amount, it also drives like a van. Diesels are expensive and rough. Petrols smooth and cheap.
Your best bet here is to pick up a 10 year old car with the tried and tested 2.8 straight six engine. Don't worry about fuel economy as the car will cost buttons.
If you must worry about spec then go for an Elegance trim car if you can find one. With any Merc, remember, big petrol and auto.
Pay no more than £4500 for a 10 year old V-Class with a 2.8 petrol engine and an automatic gearbox.
Depreciation is likely to vary greatly on these cars depending on condition, specification and mileage.
