The Mini Countryman is kind of a cross between a Mini and an SUV. Kind of an odd combination you might think, and you'd be right. It is odd. Good yes, but odd.
If the idea appeals to you then why not? You get the Mini look with an added dose of practicality and off road ability. Still odd though.
These cars are strangely desirable. Prices are very firm. Go petrol as the steeper diesel cars battle some top class cars in the BMW 3 series and Mercedes C-Class arena. Frankly, they are not that good.
Go for a petrol car in Cooper spec. The Cooper S is overkill and the one models are pretty basic.
There are hardly any used cars in the market and they sell at close to new. Early indicators are that the Countryman will hold it's value very, very well.
Depreciation is gentle and consistent. Buy and sell at any time.
