The Peugeot 106 seems like a very dated car now, mainly because so many of them are tatty. But if you find a clean example that has been looked after you will be buying a fun little car that does exactly what it was meant to, really well.
The boot and rear leg room is, unsurprisingly quite small. But considering the car's overall size, it's not bad. Up front it feels like you are driving a slightly bigger Peugeot of the same era. The big reason to buy one might be that it is cheap to run.
The 8 year old 1.1 petrols are worth up to £400 more than 1.5 diesels, principally because they often have lower mileage. When buying cars of this age, it is often best to buy the lesser used and less stressed petrol unit as it helps avoid repair costs.

You need to buy sooner rather than later really - these little run abouts won't be on the market forever. Certainly not in good condition. The worst of the depreciation is over.
