Seat's unassuming car went as quietly as it came. Like all Volkswagen clones you will find a solid, dull grey, interior. So if you want something the size of a Ford KA, but that feels more solid, this is it. But that also makes it less fun.
The Seat Arosa is rare on the used car market with less than a few hundred nationwide. There are a real mix of examples from those that have been used as unloved inner-city runarounds to immaculate and always garaged suburban OAP-mobiles.
The tiny 1.0P manages a brilliant 49 MPG and isn't too weak with 49 BHP. Or there's the slightly over-the-top 1.4P which has 59 BHP and achieves 46 MPG. There is also a 1.4 TDI which has 74 BHP; definitely overkill on a tiny can-of-a-car like this.
It's worth testing a 1.0 on a hill. If you are happy with how it clambers up that, then there is no reason to buy anything else. If you feel it is a little under powered then go for the 1.4P. The diesel doesn't really make sense in a little car like this.
If we assume that you are going to use all the advice on Used Car Expert, then you are not going to buy a tatty example. So the Arosa is now a £1,000 - £3000 no matter which age or engine. The skill is to not overpay for your one by testing several.
As long as you don't buy in a rush, you can buy and sell these at any age - they are not going to drop heavily in value now. But, if there are only a few in your area, then be careful, it is easy to over pay when you don't have a point of comparison.
