The Celica is a sharp suited junior coupe from Toyota. Well made with excellent handling, the Celica is a bit of a lost gem in the market - particularly when fitted with the banzai 190BHP engine that Lotus use in the Elise.
It's a very good car, the Toyota Celica ? a classic 2 +2 with reliability, handling, performance & budget options. The cars should go on forever if reasonably maintained. Highly recommended.
Without doubt go for the VVTi in 190BHP spec. The engine will rev to 9000 RPM all day and the handling is incisive. The ride is a bit harsh but you can't have everything.
If insurance is not a concern, get the best quality 190BHP model you can. Otherwise a standard 1.8 is cheaper to run.
