A big seller from Toyota that holds it's value well. Practical, stylish and tough the Rav-4 is a pioneer of the small 4X4 market. Rivals such as the Honda CR-V and VW Tiguan have passed the Rav-4 in on road ability. It's still good though.
The Rav-4 has good road manners but it will still go a long way off tarmac if asked which makes it truly a rival for the Land Rover Freelander. The cabin is a little dated now and the engines are harsh but it won't break. Ever.
Go petrol with the Rav-4. Diesel cars hold their value to well to make sense at these prices. For example a 2007 2.0 litre petrol will cost £2000 less than a comparative diesel and have 15,000 less miles on the clock.
