The Vauxhall Antara is essentially a Chevrolet Captiva - which is itself a Deawoo Winstorm. It makes sense as a Chevy but really it's not worth it's relatively high new asking price and has not sold that well. Used prices are soft as a consequence.
The Vauxhall Antara is a capable car but it isn't half dull. It handles ok, drives ok, accommodates ok, looks ok - it's just ok. That's all.
The diesel engine is one of the best features so get one of those which is lucky because there is no petrol. All the cars are well equipped and all are fairly handy when the going gets rough.
S or SE spec is more than enough. Pay £500 or so more for an auto - worth doing as the box is good.
Pay 12,000 for a 4 year old car with less than 60,000 miles on the clock.
Buy at 3 years. Depreciation is quite heavy until then.
