The Eos is a Golf based coupe convertible that looks rather glamorous and is nice to drive. It's... Um, nice - but no more - a bit clonky really, though the image is good.
The Eos makes a great deal of sense from a financial viewpoint as residuals are great. It seats four in comfort but and is great to start with but, after a while - it's very dull. Rather like being stuck in a lift with a C-list Celeb.
Go for the 1.4 TFSI. The clever petrol engine costs loads less than the 2.0 litre diesel and it's miles better. Refined and economical. It's easy going nature really suits the car which can feel nose heavy with diesel or 3.2 petrol power.
Get a 1.4 TFSi car with the DSG auto box or a 2.0 petrol with the 6 speed automatic. These combinations play to the cars strengths. It's not a sports car. Don't get one with big wheels and too much power.
