PREMIUM car maker Audi clocked up 99,828 UK sales last year - up 9.5 per cent on 2009 - and now offers one of the most comprehensive model line-ups of any manufacturer.

So, there’s plenty of choice in the line up and the new Audi A1 should be high on the list.

Turbocharging and supercharging share top billing in the new Audi A1 1.4 TFSI S line 185bhp, which is available to order priced from £20,705.

The new top-performing A1 derives its impressive performance from a potent combination of the two forced induction methods working sequentially, but nevertheless manages to maintain frugal 47.9mpg economy potential giving CO2 output of just 139g/km.

Also available or order now is the fantastic all-new Audi A6 priced from £30,145.

Its composite aluminium and steel construction means 2.0 TDI model weighs just 1,575kg, 15 per cent less than an all-steel equivalent – 4.92 metres in length, 1.87 metres wide, 1.46 metres high.

There is a choice of four efficient engines at launch – one petrol and three diesel – teamed with Multitronic CVT or manual for front-wheel drive and S tronic for quattro models.

The A6 2.0 TDI (177bhp) manual is the most efficient derivative – 0-62mph in 8.7 seconds, top speed 142mph and emits 129g/km CO2.

Options include head-up display, Bluetooth, Internet connection, 1,200-watt Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System and MMI touch with 3D graphics chip.

The A6 will also become Audi’s second production hybrid model.

Going even further up-market, Audi is offering its new A7 Sportback, which projects Audi into a new market segment by combining saloon car versatility, hatchback practicality and coupe elegance for the executive class. Available to order now at £42,925.
