LAND ROVER has extended its British-built 2013 Freelander 2 range with a new Black & White limited edition model – and prices from £22,495.
The specials combine extra equipment with increased personalisation, extra features and a tailored feel.
So LE versions take the existing S model’s spec and add the likes of a gloss black finish – shared with the Dynamic model - to the front grille, side vents and door handles, plus split-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels.
And true to its name, the exterior paint choices are Santorini Black metallic or solid Fuji White, with a metallic shade offered at no additional cost.
Privacy glass is also fitted as standard and the headlamp units include daytime running lights with a signature arrangement of LEDs.
The cabin displays the new console that debuted in the 2013 model and is finished with an Ebony black cloth upholstery. Bluetooth and a cover for the rear load space are also part of the Black & White LE package.
Features carried forward from the S model include push button start, electric windows, air-con, 60:40 folding rear seats, auxiliary power sockets, eight-speaker audio system with DAB digital radio, heated electrically adjustable door mirrors and seven airbags.
Beneath the bonnet is a 150PS 2.2-litre turbodiesel unit in eD4 form with two-wheel drive, or the TD4 with all-wheel drive.
The eD4, with stop and start technology, boasts official economy figures of an average 47.1mpg and 158g/km of emissions and comes with six-speed manual transmission, while the TD4 unit can be specified additionally with a six-speed auto gearbox.
Prices for the new Black & White LE start at £22,495 for the eD4 model, while the TD4 costs £23,495 for the manual and £24,995 for automatic.
