I am considering buying a Honda CRX Sir import from Japan. Registered in 1990 with 69000 kms on the clock. I know that the Sir model can only be bought as an import. The lesser i-VT model (UK model) has 10 bhp less than the Sir and comes without somes extras such as sunroof, electric door mirrors and leather seats. It is worth the hassle of buying the Sir import or should I stick to the Uk i-vt? The Sir has 160 bhp standard and the i-vt is 150bhp. Also I have been told that the Sir will be expensive to insure as I am only 21. Could you please advise?

Answer
Hi Zeesham,
I don’t think UK roads will give you much opportunity to drive your CRX at a level where you notice a 10 bhp difference. Leather and sunroof might be nice, but the electric mirrors are just something to break. Go for the UK model, although I doubt it will be much cheaper to insure. But easy come, easy go.
Life will throw you plenty of challenges without going looking for them. I think it is only worth the hassle of buying an import if the car is really special.
