Hyundai's Mondeo - Car Review

Review

FIRST details have just been released of the latest Hyundai – the i40 - but the only pictures are of the estate.

It’s about the size of a Vauxhall Insignia and the company claims it will make premium quality available to all.

It has been developed specially for Europe – which shows Hyundai’s commitment to our market – and will be unveiled in full at the Geneva Show at the beginning of March.

Powertrains, equipment and technology have been tailored for European tastes and the estate will be the first bodystyle available, with a saloon to follow later in the year.

The new model certainly has a contemporary look and its 1.7-litre turbo diesel engine option emits just 113g/km of CO2 which is claimed to be best in class.

All will come with Hyundai’s excellent customer care package - a five-year unlimited-mileage warranty, five years’ roadside assistance and five years of vehicle health checks.

Interior
The company claims a class leading level of equipment including heated and reclining front and rear seats, a heated steering wheel and an active de-mist system that automatically detects and clears mist on the windscreen.
