NISSAN is celebrating news that its new Juke crossover will have some of the best residual values in the industry.

It follows data from industry analysts  CAP which shows values ranging from an impressive 52-54 per cent based on three years or 60,000 miles of ownership.

The figure is higher than many of Juke’s competitors, like the MINI hatchback whichg has RVs of 48 and 50 per cent for petrol and diesel models.

In fact the Juke’s rating is on a par with the MINI Countryman, also on a mark of 52 per cent.

Nissan’s corporate sales director Tony Lewis said: “We have worked hard to ensure that Juke ownership is hassle-free, and that includes the retained value of the car.  Potential customers who love the Juke’s style can now buy with confidence.”

Juke insurance ratings start at Group 11E for the 1.6-litre 117bhp petrol in Visia trim, while Acenta and Tekna versions with the same engine are both rated Group 12E.

For cars with the more powerful 190bhp engine, the rating is Group 21E except for the 4WD model which is Group 20E.

All Jukes powered by the 1.5-litre dCi 110bhp diesel are Group 13E, except for the entry level Visia which is Group 12E.

Officially on sale from September 24, more than 3,000 orders for the car have already been taken.
