Question

My 10 year old Honda CRV is driving me mad. It's a big car and it drinks petrol, but I can only get 2 children in it! Ridiculous and annoying. I'd like something that will carry at least 3 children in car seats but with some height to save my back. Annoyingly on most fronts the CRV is the perfect car. However, the big problem is that I live down a very narrow lane with stone walls either side, turning into our drive is pretty tight, so size is an issue. The CRV fits, as does the Zafira, my friend has driven her C8 down here but I wouldn't ever want to see that done again - even with parking sensors!!!!! Any suggestions? Oh, and I don't want a Zafira, you can't access the back seats if you have a car seat strapped in the middle row, nightmare! Budget of about £10,000.
Very grateful for your thoughts.

Answer

Hi Natalie,

Lot’s of Mum’s seem to have the same criteria for their car. They all tell me the same things. The Zafira is good, but I know you don’t want one. So there is the Renault Scenic, but most say the boot is too small. The favourites seem to be the Citroen Picasso and the Toyota Corolla Verso. The former being a much cheaper buy.
