I am 27 and while it is just me and my other half I think it's about the right time we bought a 2 seater convertible. We have about £15k to play with which wil get us an old Boxster S. Appealing, but I am worried that a Porsche of this age will be pricey to fix. So we're also considering an S2000, a, a TT, a Saab 9-3 Aero, or if we can an imported 350z convertible. What are your views? Have we forgotten anything?

Andrew,
You clearly want to make a well-considered decision. So don’t risk Porsche-size repair bills. Because the new TT looks like Audi’s R8 super car, the old-shape TT is about to look like the poor-man’s sports car, so give that a miss too.
The S2000 and 350Z are fun options, but they don’t give the same feeling of complete satisfaction that one can achieve when stepping out in a Saab on a sunny day.
The Saab is a refined cruiser, is very comfy, has lots of toys and I’ve been beaten away from the lights by the 2.0 litre turbo. The good news doesn’t stop there; there are a staggering amount of Saabs on the market at present and so there are lots of deals to be had.
