I have £1,500.00 to buy a car with.
My Ford Fiesta has just died on me.
Could you recomend a reliable car, cheap on insurance and repairs?

Dear Sammy,
Worry less about the make / model and more about the actual deals you can find.
Look on eBay and Auto Trader for cars at £1,750. Most people will let you haggle a bit and as you only have £1,500, you won't be able to budge, so they will have to.
Make sure the car has 12 months M.O.T. and you know it has to be safe and road worthy.

Cam belts, head gaskets, leaks, brakes and exhausts are the big ticket items that you need to pay close attention to.
I would look at Fiat Puntos, or another Fiesta. As you will see in our price guide will see that - depending on the engine you choose - you are looking at Puntos from year 2000, with 65,000 miles and Fiestas with slightly higher miles, but of the same age.
