With its 4.2-litre V8 engine, exquisite design specifications and an array of little extras that took me ages to explore, this model is worth every penny - or rather pound, or even thousand.
And with 14 models to chose from ranging in engine size, fuel type and design starting at a "mere" £26,950, there is truly an A6 to cater for all needs.
This vehicle has clearly been designed to attract attention from all corners of the market, with looks for the style-conscious, power for the petrol-heads and enough safety features to wrap your family up in cotton wool.
Believe me, the anti-locking braking system is extremely efficient as I discovered when another driver with a death-wish decided to attempt hara-kiri in front of me.
With a high-seated position, the driver has superb all-round visibility without feeling like you are driving an HGV.
And with audible parking sensors, both front and rear, you can park it easily - even on supermarket car parks.
Add little touches like heated leather seats, climate control for both driver and passenger, an excellent sound system with ten speakers and a built-in telephone and you soon start to realise the A6 is value for money.
But that's not all, it has been designed to carry big loads - 1,660 litres with the seats folded down. And there are two securing rails which can be used with a bar to divide the boot area, lockable areas to secure luggage and a net to keep awkward items in place.
Complete with a whole package of safety features, as you would expect from Audi, the A6 is the perfect all-rounder and will certainly top my wish-list this year.
