What to look for:

Rev the engine in neutral and listen/feel for any excessive vibration from the engine (which will be felt through the car). With the car still in neutral, rest your foot on the clutch and feel for a pulsing though the clutch pedal.

What it means:

Both of these faults may indicate a problem with the flywheel. The vibration is caused by the flywheel being unbalanced – this is an expensive repair.

What to do

If the car is under warranty (3 years/60,000 miles) then Audi may replace the window switches for free. Otherwise try to negotiate a discount of £1500 off of the price of the car.
