IT'S the question guaranteed to irritate motoring critics up and down the country and even more annoying, it's the question most commonly asked - what colour is it?
Well, before I start with the real impressions of the stunning, jaw-dropping, sporty Audi TT let's get one thing out of the way... it was bright red, Misano red to be precise, and it was dazzling.
In fairness, I do believe the only time colour really matters on a car is when it's a model designed to stand out in a crowd and the Audi TT is exactly that.
With its elegant streamlining and classy leather features throughout, the TT has certainly grown in stature over the years and the latest coupe version oozes bundles of class.
The 2.0-litre engine offers a blistering performance and with its quattro four-wheel-drive, the TT is guaranteed to deliver an edge-of-your-seat ride packed with power, performance and sheer exhilaration.
Ten years since its original launch, the TT has certainly come a long way and just recently it was voted top of the lease car wish-list - a position normally held by far more conservative models.
So what is the great attraction? The answer is simple, the unparalleled class and outstanding performance ratings guarantee a fantastic ride. Then, when you add excellent comfort levels aided by world-class suspension, plus luxurious touches and outstanding technology you really do have the perfect sports car.
The S tronic gearbox offers a choice of manual or automatic shift changes depending how the mood takes you. And the impressive list of safety features includes a tyre pressure monitoring system, anti-lock brakes, numerous airbags, electronic stability programme plus plenty more.
Despite the fact I could ramble on endlessly about the TT's features and style, the real appeal has to be the drive itself.
From the moment you turn the ignition key and hear the throaty roar of the engine, you know you are in for something a little bit special.
The 2.0-litre engine is deceptively powerful and despite being a sports coupe, the all-round visibility is surprisingly good.
In and around town it manoeuvres with ease and out on the open road, the TT performs superbly, but one final tip... keep an eye on that speedo!
