BMW has added a pair of new models to its X3 sports utility vehicle range in the shape of a higher powered and high spec xDrive30d model and a flagship X3 xDrive35d.
Benefitting from an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard, the 3.0-litre engine in the X3 xDrive30d produces 258bhp, giving it a 0-62mph acceleration time of 6.2 seconds and 130mph top speed.
The car's emissions figure is 159g/km and Combined fuel consumption is 47.1 miles per gallon.
Range-topper the xDrive35d produces a hefty 313bhp, taking it from zero to 62mph in 5.8 seconds, and thanks to BMW's EfficientDynamics technologies it emits 162g/km of CO2 while returning a Combined fuel figure of 46.3mpg.
Prices are from £37,600 for the X3 xDrive30d SE and £39,975 for the M Sport, while the X3 xDrive35d SE costs from £40,205 and from £42,225 for the M Sport.
The company has also just announced that the 5 Series Gran Turismo is being offered with enhanced standard specification, offering drivers superior luxury for up to £1,770 less.
All 5 Series Gran Turismo models now come with BMW Professional Navigation System, BMW Assist, electrically adjustable front seats with driver memory, voice control, Xenon headlights with headlight wash and remote tailgate operation as standard.
And next month will also see the launch of M Sport models for the 5 Series Gran Turismo with the likes of 19-inch light alloy wheels, front sports seats, M body styling and suspension plus, M Sport multi-function leather steering wheel and M Sport suspension as standard with prices from £49,505.
The latest BMW 6 Series Coupe hits the streets in October with an eight-speed Sport Automatic transmission, Dakota leather upholstery, Bluetooth, high-res 10.2-inch display sat-nav and LED front foglights as standard. Prices start at £59,565 for the 640i SE model.
