ONE of the most stylish executive cars on the market now comes with big reductions in price.
Chrysler has slashed the cost of its imposing 300C models in a move aimed at winning more sales with business and family motorists looking for 'stand out' transport.
Now starting at £23,995, the macho US saloon range has been grouped into four versions with three-litre, V6 diesel engines and automatic transmission - all of them coming with attractive and affordable pricing.
'Our new entry-level price for E-segment motoring will attract customers from the D-segment who want a car that stands out from the crowd and comes highly equipped. The 300C remains a great looking car that now offers an even more desirable package of power, performance and style. It will assist us in gaining a competitive advantage in a fiercely contested segment of the market,' says Chrysler UK managing director Federico Goretti.
In its latest guise, the lead-in SE version boasts leather trimmed seats, ESP, ABS, front, rear and side-curtain airbags, heated front seats, dual zone climate control, LED ambient lighting, front fog lamps and parking sensors. Xenon headlamps and rain-sensing windscreen wipers are also standard along with 18' aluminium wheels.
Top speed is 143mph and the car can reach 62mph from rest in 8.7 seconds.
At £24,995, the SR version features an auto-dimming rear view mirror, upgraded in-car entertainment, satellite navigation and a hands-free communication system, while the £27,995 SRT includes a mesh grille with chrome surround, body coloured door mirrors and door handles, wheel arch extensions, 20 inch aluminium wheels, leather and suede trimmed sports seats and carbon fibre interior details.
'In a segment dominated by prestigious German marques; Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, the 300C is able to compete aggressively on price and standard equipment levels,' claims Mr Goretti.
Latest versions of the seven-seat Dodge Journey multi-purpose vehicle also boast higher equipment levels and two-litre diesel versions have lower exhaust emissions to go with up to 44.8mpg economy. Prices start at £16,990.
