CHRYSLER'S sporty Crossfire has finally crossed the Atlantic, to luke-warm reviews, but plenty of advanced orders regardless.
Despite receiving less critical acclaim than rivals such as Nissan's new 350Z, the Crossfire's initial UK allocation is said to have been an instant sell-out and the company is now trying to get more.
Powered by a 3.2-litre, V6 engine it accelerates to 60mph in six and a half seconds and has a top speed of 155mph.
It is available as a six-speed manual at £27,260 and in five-speed automatic form for £28,500.
Nissan's 3.5-litre V6 Z sportster costs £24,000, and Mazda's rotary-engined RX-8 is £22,000 in 230bhp guise.
