THE Chrysler group will be showing its full range at this year's motor show, including the Sebring mid-sized saloon due in the UK in the middle of next year and the Dodge Nitro, a five-seater SUV.
The Sebring is Chrysler's first offering in the mid-size family car sector, currently dominated by cars like the Ford Mondeo and Honda Accord.
It combines a striking design, based on the 2003 Airflite Concept, and will be available in right-hand drive with diesel and petrol engines.
The Dodge Nitro on the show stand is the concept car that was unveiled at the 2005 Chicago Autoshow.
It is the Dodge brand's first mid-size five-seater SUV, and is designed to attract customers seeking a vehicle with distinctive styling, sporty performance and a very flexible interior. Right-hand drive versions of the Nitro will arrive in the UK in mid 2007 with petrol and diesel engines.
One of the most stunning motors around, the Chrysler 300C Touring, should pull in the crowds. The newly launched 300C Touring comes with 3.5-litre V6 and 5.7-litre HEMI petrol engines and a Mercedes-Benz three-litre CRD diesel engine.
The Touring has the same impressive levels of standard kit as the saloon, with the addition of a rear cargo organiser and cargo cover. Standard features on the Chrysler 300C include electronic stability programme and an all-speed traction control system, front and rear side-curtain air bags, rain-sensing windscreen wipers and a rear park assist system. Air-conditioning and heated leather driver and front passenger seats also come as standard on all vehicles in the range.
Launched in the UK in April, the Chrysler PT Cruiser Cabrio will be on show along with the new Dodge Caliber, Jeep Commander, Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland.
The Caliber, in the same class as the VW Golf, comes with a choice of two petrol and one diesel engine and it combines eye-catching 'crossover' styling with space-efficient packaging, loads of interior space and innovative features.
The new Jeep Commander, which has just gone on sale in the UK, is the first of the Jeep family to offer as standard three row seating, accommodating up to seven passengers comfortably. This classic, rugged 4x4 offers UK customers a vehicle with legendary off-road capabilities and on-road refinement.
The Predator specification Commander comes with a high list of standard equipment including ABS, ESP, tyre pressure warning light, body coloured grille and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Limited model has the same spec adding dual zone climate control air conditioning, cruise control, leather trimmed interior, front and rear park assist and Boston Acoustic speaker system.
