FIAT'S 500 supermini has driven into Britain's top 10 best seller list for the first time.
Launched early last year, the little car achieved 2,989 registrations in October to help lift the Italian firm's sales for the month to a total of 6,570.
The result was an improvement of 117.5 per cent on the figure for the same period last year.
'We are delighted with the achievement of the Fiat 500. Interest in the car has been sky high. With the launch this summer of the 500C and the option of start-stop technology bringing further environmental benefits to the range, we're sure we will see the 500 making even greater inroads into the UK small car market,' said managing director Andrew Humberstone.
