Question

My punto 1.3 TD appears to be in limp home mode.

However from time to time it works fine. Fiat told me it was the turbo but thats fine.

Any ideas please? It wont go above 4000 revs...

Answer

If you think it’s in “Limp home” mode because a dashboard light’s on, a dealer or any garage with a fault code reader will be able to tell you the general area of the fault.

If the codes indicate a turbo problem, it could be the turbo wastegate valve sticking.
