WHEN the new Ford Focus C-MAX goes on sale in mid October it will cost from £13,175, with insurance ratings from 5E.
There will be a choice of two petrol engines and two diesel engines, in four trim levels, comprising Studio, LX, Zetec and Ghia.
Sales are projected to be 37 per cent diesel, with the most popular model overall expected to be the 1.8-litre petrol Zetec.
Standard on every model is Ford's Intelligent Protection System, with six airbags and ABS, plus air conditioning and 550 litres of luggage space.
Most models also offer Ford's innovative 'Comfort Seat System,' turning in seconds the conventional five-seater into a more spacious four-seater.
Range-topping Ghia models will boast electronic parking brake, electronic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, cruise control and additional storage spaces.
Options will include leather trim at £1,000, DVD multi-media entertainment system at £1,075, Sony single or six-CD radios at £200 and £400, Xenon headlamps at £500, ESP for £350, colour touch-screen navigation system at £800, privacy glass for £100, and towards the end of 2003 a Continuously Variable Transmission system.

1.8-litre petrol from £14,250 to £16,350
1.6-litre diesel from £15,475 to £18,695
2.0-litre diesel from £17,225 to £18,375
