MORE than £2,000 worth of extra kit is being crammed into a new special edition version of the Ford Mondeo – but punters will only have to shell out £300 more for the new Sport limited edition than the cost of the Zetec model on which it’s based.
On sale next month, priced from £18,795, the high-spec Sport’s production run will be limited to just 3,000 five door and estate examples with either 1.8-litre 125PS diesel or 2.0 145PS petrol engines
Additional features include a satellite navigation system covering Europe, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and a self-dimming rear view mirror, 17-inch alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors and a heat reflecting windscreen.
There will be a choice of four colours – Frozen White, Panther Black, Sea Grey, and Moondust Silver.
