IT'S an exciting year ahead for Honda with the launch of the all new Accord just around the corner.
The latest version of this popular family car will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
It will be June 1, however, before the saloon version goes on sale in the UK and not until September 1 before the Tourer is on sale.
The all-new Accord has evolved into a smarter, sleeker car with sportier styling.
Its innovative chassis design promises an involving drive, while advanced technology will help improve safety and reduce driver fatigue. Altogether, the new Accord is positioned as a credible challenger to premium marques within the D-sector.
Powered by a range of advanced, low emission engines, the Accord will be one of the first cars to offer an entirely Euro 5-compliant engine line-up. Honda's latest diesel engine, the i-DTEC, makes its debut in the new car, combining improved fuel economy and greater power output.
Honda's Civic is still as popular as ever and last year the Swindon factory produced 140,000 models.
Some 30,772 Civic five-door models were sold in the UK making it one of Britain's most popular hatchbacks.
Currently there is a limited edition called the Civic SE+ priced from £14,900 on offer and just 1,000 are being built at the Honda' UK factory in Swindon.
The new model features 16-inch alloy wheels as well as a body coloured side skirt and spoiler. It is powered by a 1.4-litre petrol engine. The SE+ also comes with metallic paint but is available only in blue or silver.
Other models in the Civic range include the economical 1.4-litre IMA hybrid, as well as a wide choice of 1.4-litre, 1.8-litre and 2.0-litre petrol models.
For the ever growing band of diesel motorists there is also the ultra economical 2.2iCTDi powered Civic, which comes in a wide selection of trim levels.
At the top of the Civic range is the high performance, award winning Type R, powered by a 2.0-litre VTEC engine developing 198bhp.
But for budget conscious drivers Honda offers its Jazz range, priced from just under £9,000.
And while this is the smallest car in this Japanese car maker's stable don't be fooled into thinking it is lacking on space.
A clever interior design and multiple options on how you can fold the seats means it offers enormous carrying capacity for a car of it size.
For 4x4 enthusiasts Honda offers its CR-V soft roader, which has four-wheel-drive on demand, meaning you get a very economical vehicle as drive goes just to the front wheels until slippage is detected when all four come into play.
The current model is the third generation of a car that has always been ahead of its time. The latest design loses the square look of its predecessors, with its rakish roofline and curvy rear end making it look far more streamlined with the privacy glass side windows adding to its overall image.
Other models in the Honda range include the six-seater FR-V, the S2000 sports car and the flagship Legend with its £38,000 price tag.
