Hi I have a Honda Civic 1.4i Max 2002 model, which only done 21000 mile and itsgearbox has failed. I took the car to Honda Dealer and was told that it will cost me £1000 to get it fixed. I have contacted Honda UK for this problem and was told that they cannot do anything as the car is out of its 3 years or 90000 mile warranty. The car has been serviced with Honda Dealer all the time. Can you please advice me what can I do as I know that should not have a problem with car at all with this low miledge. Thanks Mr Patel
Answer
Hi
You need to call Consumer Direct, who will advise you on your options. This will probably constitute a breach of contract and if that is the case, Honda will have to pay for the repair. They will provide a template letter, if required, that you can send to Honda to set out your rights and get them to take action.
