LIKE the Mugen Euro Civic Type R car but can’t afford its near-£40,000 price tag?
Fans of the hand-built high-performer from the Northampton racing specialist are now able to order a car that looks the same but costs a lot less.
Honda is making is regular Type R model available with exclusive Mugen body parts, wheels and badges to guarantee a head-turning appearance.
Just 200 examples of the 201PS, i-VTEC-powered Mugen 200 will have special front and rear bumpers with skirts, distinctive 19-inch alloy wheels, a limited slip differential and a limited-edition number plaque.
Finished in championship white with gloss black door mirrors, the car will also be available with a range of tuning parts to further enhance chassis dynamics. Prices will be announced in March, when the order book opens.
In April, selected outlets in the Japanese firm’s UK dealer network will also be offering an exclusive range of original Mugen tuning and cosmetic parts, including sports suspension upgrades, lightweight wheels and interior trim, for Type R owners who want to modify their own cars.
