MORE details and pictures of the forthcoming Infiniti G37 convertible model have been released as it takes centre stage at this month's Los Angeles motor show.
Scheduled for arrival in the UK in time for next summer, the high-performance car will come with just a single engine option of a 3.7-litre V6 and no diesel, dual-fuel or hybrid alternatives.
The newcomer is the product of the luxury arm of the Nissan brand, known as Infiniti.
It will sell alongside the forthcoming Nissan 370Z coupe and roadster models, which use the same 3.7-litre V6 petrol engine.
Many convertible rivals, such as the BMW 6 Series, Mercedes SLK and the forthcoming Lexus IS 250 C will be offering diesel options by the time the Infiniti is on sale in Britain.
However, Infiniti says that its newcomer beats them all in the beauty stakes by looking just as good with the roof up as it does when down.
"The G37 Convertible maintains a coupe-like silhouette with the top up through the use of a special three-piece 'clamshell' retractable hardtop, which enables a shorter rear overhang and low boot lid," says the company.
"This dual beauty is a rare event among coupe convertibles."
