CAR buyers in America have given Jaguar top marks for the second consecutive year in the world's toughest assessment of customer satisfaction.
Models from the sports car maker achieved the highest scores in the industry in the J.D. Power index to carry off the first luxury brand award to be made by the survey.
And in a further boost to UK manufacturing, vehicles made by sister company Land Rover came out fifth in the study.
Based on responses from more than 48,000 people who took delivery of new vehicles in May and June, the survey is the industry's most searching analysis of the way customers feel about their cars, what they cost and the services offered by dealerships.
"Jaguar and Land Rover dealers deserve individual and collective praise for delivering such a superb shopping and buying process for our customers.
"The top goals of this organisation are to deliver world-class quality products to our customers with a world-class dealership sales and service experience.
'Coupled with recent dependability and customer service accolades, these high rankings out of 37 brands in the industry show that all our efforts towards these goals are paying off,' said Jaguar Land Rover North America president Gary Temple.
