A NEW version of one of the most successful models built by Kia will be unveiled nest month.
The latest Sportage is the next step in the burgeoning South Korean brand's plan for global success - and it looks every inch a winner, claims Kia Motors UK managing director Michael Cole.
'Sportage was the car that really made the breakthrough for Kia in Europe and the all-new version will make people sit up and take notice just as the original did. I am convinced it will begin a remarkable new chapter in the Kia story,' said Mr Cole.
'This is a fresh, bold, athletic and sporty design that blends the key features of an SUV - the commanding driving position, heightened sense of security and raised ground clearance - in a sleek and urban-friendly package.'
Longer, lower and wider, the next-generation sport utility model will be the centrepiece of the Kia display at the Geneva Motor Show and is due to reach UK showrooms later this year.
Prices are still to be announced but the current Sportage - built in Europe at Kia's factory in Slovakia - costs from £15,218.
