THE latest new model from Kia - the Venga - will be on sale early next year.
It's a smaller MPV similar in size to the Citroen C3 Picasso and will have a choice of 1.4 and 1.6 petrol engines or 1.4 and 1.6 diesels.
The diesels will have six-speed gearboxes while the petrols will have either a five-speed or an automatic.
All four will be available with an intelligent stop-start system to lower fuel consumption and improve emissions.
Using this, the 1.4 diesel with six-speed gearbox gets emissions down to 117g/km of CO2. All will have gearchange indicator lights to encourage economy driving and low rolling resistance tyres.
Knowing recent Kias, the 1.6 petrol and diesel engines will be both economical and powerful, giving the new model plenty of performance when required.
And of course, Kia's seven year warranty is the best in the business at the moment.
Interior
The cabin is said to be bright and airy thanks to a tilt-and-slide glass roof and all will have a 60/40 split rear seat that folds flat into the floor.
The Venga is said to be spacious inside, with Kia claiming best-in-class legroom front and rear and it will have electronic stability control and six airbags.
