LAND ROVER is reaching another landmark with the imminent arrival of two new special edition models.

The pair, featuring unique black and white colour themes, are limited editions of the rugged Discovery 4 and have been named Landmark.

They go on sale in January with prices from £46,945 and both the Black and White models are aimed at giving the Disco a more upmarket look.

"The new Landmark Limited Edition Discovery 4 has been created to offer our customers more choice," said Land Rover design director Gerry McGovern.

"The Discovery 4 is already the ultimate all-purpose vehicle, but we’ve brought a new, bolder, more contemporary edge to the design, offering a higher level of luxury in the cabin."

The Landmark is available in Santorini Black or Fuji White colour schemes while Taurus interior leather comes in either Ebony or - for the first time in a Discovery – Ivory.

On the outside there are grille vanes finished in Santorini Black, gloss black 20-inch five-spoke diamond-turned alloy wheels, privacy glass and satin black extended roof rails to create an eyecatching side silhouette.

Landmark models are powered by Land Rover's 3.0-litre SDV6 twin turbo diesel engine that offers a nine per cent average fuel economy improvement compared to 2.7-litre engine it replaced.

And all variants come with the Terrain Response system, which optimises the vehicle set-up for virtually all on-road or off-road driving situations, with five settings to suit different conditions.
