NISSAN has announced price cuts of more than £4,000 on some models in response to the sales slump that is affecting so many motor manufacturers.
With registrations down last month by virtually 30 per cent, the company is aiming to revive interest with some bargain-basement offers.
They start with £1,270 lopped off the price of the Micra three-door 1.2 manual Acenta model which falls to a new low of £7,995.
There is a saving of £1,700 in the case of the Note 1.4 manual Acenta, which is now £9,995, whilst the X-trail 2.0 dCi 173bhp manual Sport Expedition Extreme goes down by £3,130 to £21,995.
The price of the Navara 2.5 dCi manual Aventura Double Cab is reduced by £4,085 to £17,795 and there is a whopping £4,210 lopped off the price of the Pathfinder 2.5 dCi auto Aventura which now weighs in at £26,995.
Additionally, there is 15 per cent off the price of the Protection Pack for the Micra and Note plus the Style Packs for the Qashqai and X-Trail. There is 20 per cent off the Style Plus Pack for the X-Trail, which costs £745 plus fitting and includes front entry guards, rear styling plate and side bars with steps.
The same discount applies to the Armadillo roll top for the Navara, which now costs £1,000.
