I have a 28th Sept 2000 registered Micra 1.0 SE with a faulty alternator. Trying to obtain a used one but am told around this time model of alternator changed !? Can you tell me which one is fitted to my car ?
Will any alternator from 1999 to 2002 fit ? Is it specific to 1.0 litre Micras or will bigger engined ones fit ? Chassis No. is SJNFAAK11U4027396.

You need someone with a parts database. If you want a secondhand unit, try the online brokers such as www.1stchoicespares.com or www.247spares.co.uk or the many others you’ll get if you Google “used car spares”.
Put your details in and the suppliers will contact you with prices and they usually known their stuff, so if you talk to one or two you’ll find out which alternator you need and get the best price.
