THE revised Peugeot 107 city car has arrived, making it the company's greenest and leanest car ever.
Priced from £7,595, it extends the choice among buyers in this increasingly vital sector of the market, which includes rivals such as the Ford Ka, Fiat 500 and the Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo clones.
The baby Peugeot boasts emissions of 106g/km and economy of 63mpg from its one-litre petrol engine, which results in £35-a-year road tax and comes with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions.
There are three trim and equipment levels of Lite, Urban and Verve, with some having remote locking, electric windows, side air bags, air conditioning, alloy wheels and a 2-Tronic transmission that is an electronically-controlled manual that operates as an automatic.
Like the Citroen C1, it has a new shark-like mouth to give it a more distinctive appearance plus different wheel trims that Peugeot reckons will help it to appeal to younger buyers.
The interior is refreshed with new upholstery and materials whilst outside there are new colour options.
