Hi, I am looking at buying a Peugeot 206 LX.
I have seen one but it has 137,000 miles on the clock as it was a rental car.
Do you think I should walk away or do you think it can handle those sort of miles on it?
It is the 1.4 petrol engine.

Average mileage for a 1999 1.4 LX is under 64,000.
So if this is a 1999 year car it is basically worth nothing.
If its a 2006 year car, where average mileage is 16000 (apart from that being unlikey as the car would have needed to do over 150 miles 7 days a week for its life) it would theoretically be worth £2,000, but for that money you can buy a typical 1999 year car, which has done half the miles so won't be anything like as worn...
This car only makes sense if it is a gift.
