My Grandaughter wants to buy a 2006 Peugeot 206 1.4 3-Door with
60,000 kms on the clock. Would you recommend it? What should I look for to
check its condition?
Thanks for your enquiry.
The 206 is a decent car - it rides and handles well and is comfortable with adequate safety for the class. I assume the 1.4 you refer to is a petrol car - this would be our recommendation as the diesel models are sold at quite a premium. I notice that you refer to the car's mileage in kilometers rather than miles - if you are in continental Europe it might make greater sense to opt for diesel as it so much cheaper than petrol there. In the UK petrol is usually the canny choice. The lower price offsets any economy advantages.
In terms of what to look for - here www.usedcarexpert.co.uk/cars/peugeot/206/fault-guides/#fault358 is a link to the UsedCarExpert fault guide on this car
Once again, thanks for you enquiry and good luck with the car
