THE new Peugeot 407 will be the star of Peugeot's stand at this month's Sunday Times Motor Show Live in Birmingham.
On show in saloon and estate formats, Peugeot has announced that prices will start at £14,750.
The important newcomer officially goes on sale on Tuesday, 25 May, which is 70 years since its original forerunner, the Peugeot 401 went on sale in 1934.
The twin HDi-engined 'Hoggar' concept car will be alongside Peugeot's other production diesel offerings, including a 1.6-litre HDi, 110bhp version of the new 206 GTi HDi.
This model incorporates the sporty features of the standard GTi, but uses the same new diesel engine that will also power the 407 and 307 hatchback and estate models.
The even more powerful, new two-litre HDi 136bhp diesel engine will be fitted to the 407 and 307 XSi HDi and SW models, which will also be on show.
The show stand will also feature one of the new 307CC World Rally Cars, alongside two simulators where visitors can pitch their skills against one another.
