A SPECIAL edition of the Porsche 911 finished in black will be on sale in April.

Only 1,911 examples of the 911 Black Edition models will be made and the car will be available in both coupe and cabriolet body styles.

Priced from £62,270 for the coupe and £74,958 the specials cost the same as standard versions of the 911 Carrera.

The theme continues inside the cars with trim and upholstery finished in black while a Bose sound system, sat nav, parking sensors and cruise control are included in the price.

Performance is the same as the 911 Carrera with a 345bhp 3.6-litre litre engine giving the car a top speed of 180mph.

The coupe can knock off 0 to 60 in 4.9 seconds with the cabriolet marginally slower at 5.1 seconds while average fuel consumption for both is in the high 20s.
