THE first new 911 Turbo S in five years is set to make Porsche one of the stars of the Geneva Motor Show.

Developed in response to customer demands for higher power, the German firm's iconic 'boxer' engine uses twin turbochargers to deliver stunning performance.

Top speed is 193mph and the benchmark 62mph acceleration rate comes up in just 3.3 seconds in the new top model.

'Our engineers have developed this car in response to requests for greater power, performance and driving dynamics,' said a spokesman.

Due on sale in May, the car will cost £123,263 in coupe form and from £130,791 as a cabriolet and each version will have a tracking system fitted as standard.

Lightweight and fade-resistant Porsche ceramic composite brakes are claimed to provide outstanding stopping power and other standard equipment includes cornering lights, 19-inch RS Spyder design wheels with centre lock nut, adaptive sports seats, cruise control, a CD/DVD changer and exclusive two-tone leather upholstery.
